Overview

Begin by reading through sections 6-1 through 6-16 of the course packet, trying each of the examples shown in the text. Then turn to lab A on page 6-24. Starting from scratch, create a spreadsheet like the one shown. In your final spreadsheet, the user should only enter two values: Principal balance, Annual Percentage Rate (APR). Everything else on the page should be calculated automatically based on those figures.

Submission

Prepare a single, virus-checked, zipped archive including three files:

  1. lastname-carloan.xlsx
  2. screenshot1.jpg and screenshot2.jpg showing results for two loan calculations with different balance and APR.

Challenge Task (for extra credit)

Modify your car loan spreadsheet so that the user can also enter the loan term in months. The spreadsheet should display lines ONLY for the months within the term of the loan. For example, a 36 month loan will display the headings and 36 lines showing monthly payments (then blanks); a 60 month loan will show 60 lines. Assume a maximum of 72 months.

Save your file as lastname-carloan-challenge.xlsx.
